A-kwadraat receives Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship 2025

Yesterday, 52 companies from the Mechelen and Kempen region received the Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (VCDO), including A-kwadraat. As an SDG Champion , we have carried out no fewer than 22 actions, focused on five major objectives.

Highlights of A-squared

Our mission remains to increase the employment rate of people who are distanced from the labor market and to promote employee happiness. The latter received a lot of attention last year, including many gestures to mark 60 years of A-kwadraat and various improvements to our buildings and surroundings.

To promote A-kwadraat as a reliable partner, we participated in numerous stakeholder events and organized events ourselves. A highlight was the Open Company Day, which attracted 4,624 visitors.

We have created an inspiration room for customers of our wood department and established new partnerships, such as with Bear Creations, which processes local wood and now has a permanent place with us.

Sustainability in action: our latest VCDO certificate

Sustainability is an ongoing process. We remain committed to sustainable solutions, reducing our environmental impact, and taking an integrated approach to sustainability, together with our employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
