Quality & Sustainability Manager

At A-kwadraat we provide customized employment our clients’ work floors or in our own production facilities across sectors such as healthcare, food, wood, and landscaping. We are building a robust quality framework centered on pragmatic solutions, efficient processes, and long-term thinking. As Quality & Sustainability Manager, you’ll play a central role in an environment where quality, safety, and sustainability are closely intertwined, and where the diversity of stakeholders, sectors, and regulations presents additional challenges.

Function

Specifically, you should include the following:

• You will continue to develop a total quality management approach for the entire organization, tailored to the various business units, with a strong focus on healthcare (medical devices and pharmaceuticals) and food.
• You will improve business processes with a focus on increasing efficiency and maximizing customer satisfaction, and make adjustments as needed.
• You will oversee the quality management system and coordinate internal and external audits, including obtaining and maintaining certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, etc.
• You will lead a team of three employees and work closely with the various business units to promote quality awareness and encourage employees to actively promote the quality policy.
• You will develop, coordinate, and embed the sustainability policy within the organization. Together with management, you will identify opportunities to enhance our social, economic, and environmental impact, translate these into concrete objectives, and guide teams in implementing them.
• You will report directly to the Managing Director.

Profile

You have a broad perspective on quality and sustainability. You think pragmatically, can navigate between business units, and know how to set priorities without losing sight of the big picture. You are not afraid to make decisions and can defend them convincingly, both internally and to external auditors.

In addition, you have:

• A master’s degree, ideally in industrial engineering, bioengineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, such as healthcare (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, etc.) or food.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills. You are pragmatic and can easily translate your ideas into concrete actions. You keep both the short-term and long-term goals in mind.
• Communication skills that allow you to connect easily with others and inspire and convince them of your ideas, combined with the necessary assertiveness.
